DearKyro — Terms & Conditions

Welcome to DearKyro ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using dearkyro.com (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who We Are

DearKyro is an AI-powered resume analysis and application tracking tool for students and early-career candidates. Our Service:

• Reads a job description and a resume, and produces a tailored analysis (match score, gap diagnosis, STAR rewrites, coach notes)
• Generates a submit-ready Word resume based on the analysis
• Tracks job applications through their lifecycle, including multiple interview rounds
• Sends email reminders for key deadlines (OA, interview, offer)

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By using DearKyro, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.

3. Your Account

Sign-in methods: We support sign-in via email one-time code (OTC) and Google SSO. You are responsible for keeping access to your email and Google account secure.

One account per person: Accounts are for individual use only. You may not share your login credentials with anyone else, or use one account on behalf of multiple people.

Account accuracy: You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information.

Suspension: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms — including but not limited to credential sharing, reselling analyses, or abnormal usage patterns.

4. What You Upload

When you use the Service, you may upload or paste:

• Your resume or CV (PDF or Word document, or plain text)
• Job descriptions from third-party sites

You confirm that:

• You own or have the right to use all content you upload
• Your upload does not infringe any third party's rights
• Your upload does not contain unlawful, harmful, or deceptive content

You retain ownership of everything you upload. You grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service (analysis, storage, report generation, tracking, and reminder emails).

5. AI-Generated Content

DearKyro uses third-party AI models to analyze your resume and job description, and to generate suggestions. This means:

• Reports are suggestions, not guarantees. We do not guarantee interviews, callbacks, or offers.
• AI can make mistakes. Reports may contain inaccuracies or incomplete information. You are responsible for reviewing all content before you use it.

Not professional advice. DearKyro does not provide legal, career, financial, or immigration advice. Nothing in a report should be treated as such.

Your responsibility to submit. You are responsible for the final version of any resume or document you submit to an employer.

6. Free Plan

The Free plan gives you up to 2 analyses per day, resetting at midnight UTC+8.

Free analyses include:

• A match score and gap diagnosis
• A preview of the report (partial STAR rewrites and coach notes)
• Access to the application tracker
• Email reminders for deadlines you set

Free analyses are provided on an "as available" basis and may be adjusted or discontinued at any time.

To prevent abuse, we may:

• Normalize email addresses (e.g., removing dots or + tags) to enforce one free plan per person
• Rate-limit requests originating from the same device or network
• Suspend accounts that attempt to bypass usage limits

7. Paid Plans and Billing

We offer the following paid plans:

What paid plans unlock:

• The full report (all STAR rewrites and coach notes)
• The submit-ready Word resume download
• Priority processing

Billing terms:

• All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
• Monthly plan renews automatically each month until cancelled.
• Full Season plan is a one-time payment and does NOT renew. Access ends after 4 months.
• One-time plans (Single, 5-pack) never expire and are not subscriptions.
• Credits from one-time plans are consumed only when you do not have an active subscription.

Cancellation:

• You may cancel your Monthly subscription at any time via the Customer Portal in your account.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep access until then.
• No further charges will be made after cancellation.

Refunds:

• All sales are final. We do not issue refunds, including for unused portions of a subscription period, unused credits, or accidental purchases.
• If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at support@dearkyro.com within 7 days.

Price changes:

• We may change plan prices at any time. Existing subscriptions will be honoured at the price you signed up for until the end of the current billing period. New prices apply from the next renewal.

8. Promo Codes

From time to time we may issue promotional codes (e.g., for partner universities, communities, or campaigns). Promo codes:

• Are subject to the terms stated when issued (discount amount, applicable plans, expiry, and any email restrictions)
• May be limited to specific users, plans, or time periods
• May be deactivated at any time at our discretion
• Cannot be resold, transferred, or combined unless explicitly stated

9. Shared Report Links

Every report generates a unique shareable link (e.g., dearkyro.com/analysis/abc123...). If you share this link:

• Anyone with the link can view the report
• If the report is unlocked, they will see the full content
• If the report is locked, they will see only the free preview
• The link expires 120 days after it was generated

You are responsible for who you share your report links with. Do not share links to reports containing confidential or sensitive information.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Share your account credentials with anyone
• Resell, redistribute, or use the Service on behalf of others
• Use the Service to generate content for third-party commercial purposes
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the underlying AI models or prompts
• Use the Service to violate any law, regulation, or third-party right
• Upload malicious files, attempt to compromise our systems, or disrupt the Service

Accounts found violating these rules may be suspended or terminated without refund.

11. Email Notifications

We send:

• Transactional emails (always sent): sign-in codes, payment confirmations, report delivery
• Application reminders (optional): OA deadlines, interview reminders, offer deadlines
• Re-engagement reminders (optional): unopened reports, applications you haven't updated in a while

You can turn optional email categories on or off at any time from Account → Email notifications.

12. Data, Privacy, and Third Parties

To deliver the Service, we work with third-party providers:

• Supabase — account data, resumes, analyses, reports
• Stripe — payment processing
• Anthropic (Claude) and DeepSeek — AI analysis
• Cloudflare Workers — infrastructure
• Lovable email service — outbound emails

We do NOT:

• Sell your data to third parties
• Use your resume or job descriptions to train AI models
• Share your individual data with employers or recruiters

Data retention:

• Reports and analyses are saved for 120 days from creation.
• You may delete your account at any time from Account settings.

13. Intellectual Property

DearKyro's IP: The Service, including its design, code, prompts, and generated brand assets, is owned by DearKyro.

Your IP: You retain all rights to your resume, job descriptions, and other content you upload.

Reports you generate: You may use your reports and rewritten resumes for any personal purpose (including job applications).

You may not:

• Copy, redistribute, or resell reports generated by the Service to third parties
• Rebrand or resell the Service as your own

14. Service Availability

We aim to keep DearKyro online and fast, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance
• Third-party outages (AI providers, payment processors, hosting)
• Circumstances beyond our control

We are not liable for any loss resulting from downtime.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available"
• We make no warranties about accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a specific purpose
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost opportunities, missed deadlines, or rejected applications
• Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim

16. Termination

By you: You may delete your account at any time from Account settings. This permanently removes your data (per our retention policy).

By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Attempt to abuse the Free plan or bypass payment
• Use the Service in a way that harms other users or our infrastructure

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will:

• Update the "Last updated" date at the top
• Notify registered users by email for material changes
• Give you the option to stop using the Service if you do not agree

Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
